Tui → O Porriño

The first stage leaves Tui along the Louro River, through hamlets, forest and country lanes. Before reaching O Porriño, one of the day’s key points comes at Orbenlle, where the Camino offers different ways to continue.

Ponte das Febres

The name of this small bridge is linked to San Telmo. Tradition says Pedro González Telmo fell ill here during his travels through this area. A plaque by the bridge still marks the story.

A Ribeira

After Ponte das Febres, the Camino enters a wooded stretch known as A Ribeira. The Louro River stays close for this part of the route.

The five cruceiros of A Magdalena

Leaving A Magdalena you will find a calvary made up of five cruceiros. Shortly after, the Camino crosses the Louro again over a small stone slab bridge.

Pay attention in Orbenlle

At Orbenlle there are different ways to continue towards O Porriño.

More direct route

Continues towards O Porriño through the industrial estate.

Alternative

Avoids much of the industrial estate, adding around 500 m to the route.

Gándaras de Budiño

This area is home to the Gándaras de Budiño, a protected wetland included in the Natura 2000 network, spread across O Porriño, Salceda de Caselas and Tui.

Take a look at O Porriño Town Hall

O Porriño’s Palacio Municipal was designed by Antonio Palacios, an architect born in the town. Completed in 1924, it is one of his best-known buildings in O Porriño.
